Méliès is graficus, fotograaf en videast; ook heeft hij een achtergrond als fysical performer.
Vanuit zijn opleiding digitale beeldvorming met een cross-over naar beeldhouwen combineert Méliès Visual* Art met Performing** Art.
Binnen deze twee afgebakende kunstdisciplines is hij autodidact.
Experimenten met licht, schaduw, verstrooiende oppervlakken in combinatie met klassieke en moderne media, hij vervormt bewegende beelden via video en fotografie op een niet gebruikelijke wijze.
Van monotone slow-motion fragmenten tot explosieve hectische kleurenpaletten.
Met zijn multifunctionele benadering gaat hij een duel aan met beelden, klanken en de omgeving. Door zijn combinatie van videoprojecties gaat Méliès op zoek naar nieuwe expressievormen en treedt 'fysiek‘ in dialoog met zijn publiek.
Hij projecteert zijn beelden op ongewone locaties zoals oude stadsgebouwen, afgedankt magazijnen, parken of bunkers in de natuur.
Méliès zijn toonmomenten zijn te zien tijdens artistieke city-walks, one-night-exhibitions of Bring Your Own Beamer evenementen.
Hijzelf is fysiek aanwezig en maakt integraal deel uit van het kunstwerk.
